CORPUS CHRISTI - A recent Nielsen study finds that more than 50 percent of Americans check social media sites like Facebook when they wake up.
If you followed the trend and logged on this morning you noticed some changes and maybe felt things were a bit out of whack.
It may not be life or death news, but people really seem to be hit hard by the news feed changes, and it is no going over well.
The pages look and act differently, and many of you wanted to turn the like button upside down.
Some even created a new profile picture like this one that reads HATE the new facebook news feed.
In fact, we got dozens of comments about the change, many like one from Mandy Mungia who writes: "I liked the old Facebook. It was easy to use, not complicated. This one is not working for me."
Brandon Gomez is worse two times over, writing: "my dial up modem can't handle all these new-fangled feed doohickeys and I think it messed up the Yahoo."
Michelle Bell summed up her feelings saying, "it's a big fat mess."
And if you don't like the new Facebook layout, don't worry, it'll be changing again soon. Reports are out that Facebook will make another layout change before the end of the year.
Of course, Facebook changes are pretty much now a way of life, right along with it, complaining about Facebook changes, a point Shane Brandt makes:
"This isn't the first time facebook has changed their format and it won't be the last", Shane writes. "When it's changed again, people will be saying how they like the old format better, which would be the current format. Change is good, it will just take some time for everyone to catch on"
No, it's not the top news story tonight, but that's probably because Facebook moved it to a different section.
